Joyful Flags Story

Joyful Flags was born in 2021 out a need for some decorations that would disguise an ugly barn ceiling at my brother’s wedding.  They were absolutely perfect and added a lovely ambiance.  I was hooked on the concept and began making them for all gift giving occasions.  I found that friends adored the flags.  

I owned and operated a custom picture framing business in Breckenridge, CO for 16 years and was exhausted from retail hours and being tied down.   I had been seeking a side hustle that would open up the doors for income while traveling and realized the flags would be ideal.  In March of 2024 I decided to invest my full energy into Joyful Flags and I have sold my picture framing business.   I very recently had the idea for Joyful Earrings and after some thinking came up with the design.  I realized the fabrics I was using were all so beautiful that I could create some really lovely earrings withe endless color combos!  I have been obsessed with wearing them with every outfit I have.  

Joyful Flags Decor represent joy, festivity, love, happiness and peace.  All of the products are handmade with a true intention of lifting the joy of the buyer.  The flags are meant to be hung in all the most joyous places and the earrings are an effortless way to elevate a fun energy to your style.

It was a challenge to find a fabric that I could feel good about purchasing but after some searching I found a source that is a small company who design their own batik.  They have a printing shop and they pay fair wages and have personal relationships with their workers.  I am very happy we found this source.   

The flags have always brought me such joy and I love the animation they bring to a space.  I am very much dedicated to building my business and hopefully my buyers will also recognize how special my products are!  The perfect gifts to share with a loved one!
